Duties

• Safely operate HGV Class 1, 2, or Van vehicles in accordance with legal and company requirements
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance
• Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
• Deliver goods to various locations within specified timeframes, maintaining punctuality
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
• Adhere to all traffic laws and health & safety regulations during operations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
• Maintain a clean and organised vehicle interior and exterior throughout shifts

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1, 2 licence or Van driving licence with relevant experience
• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with flatbed or delivery vehicles
• Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws in the UK
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely when required
• A clean driving licence with no serious endorsements or points
