The role will focus on capital accounting, year-end processes, and ensuring compliance with CIPFA standards.You will work closely with internal teams, external auditors, and valuers to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective management of capital assets.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and manage capital accounting activities in line with the Code of PracticeWork with external auditors and valuersAssist with year-end closure and financial reportingPrepare Notes to the Accounts and audit working papersProcess journals for depreciation, acquisitions and disposalsMonitor and maintain fixed asset recordsEssential RequirementsExperience using the CIPFA Asset Management SystemExperience working with external auditors and valuersExperience supporting year-end capital accounts closureDesirableLocal authority finance experienceKnowledge of capital asset accounting and IFRS 16 leasesExperience with TechnologyOne Brook Street NMR is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy. ..... full job details .....
