Freelance Quantity Surveyor Yorkshire - INSIDE IR35Morson Edge are recruiting on behalf of a main contractor delivering infrastructure projects across the Yorkshire Water framework. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery across a range of water and wastewater schemes.This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly reputable contractor with a strong presence in the utilities sector, offering long-term, stable freelance work on essential infrastructure projects.Key Responsibilities Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects from inception through to final account Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts Administer subcontractor packages, including procurement, payments, and variations Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities Ensure compliance with contract terms (NEC forms of contract preferred) Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client representatives Produce accurate and timely commercial reports Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or utilities Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4) Experience working on water or infrastructure frameworks (desirable) Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management What s on Offer ..... full job details .....
