to join a dynamic local authority legal team on an interim basis.Start:

Legal Services, reporting to Senior SolicitorThe RoleYou will play a key role in providing high-quality legal advice and services in planning law matters, including:Drafting legal agreements and policy adviceSupporting planning-related litigation and inquiriesAdvising on highways, environment, and development mattersTraining officers and attending committee meetingsManaging your own caseload with minimal supervisionRequirementsCurrent

Practising Certificate

(Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer, or Barrister – England and Wales)At least

1 year PQE , ideally moreStrong knowledge of

Planning Law

(and related fields such as Environment, Highways, Local Government Law)Local authority experience

strongly preferredAbility to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and provide concise, accurate legal adviceFamiliarity with local government governance processesConfident advocacy and committee support experienceTo apply, you must demonstrate you meet all essential criteria
