Waking Night Support Worker

We are looking for caring and resilient Waking Night Support Workers to join our children’s residential service. You will play a vital role in keeping young people safe, supported, and reassured throughout the night in a therapeutic solo home setting.
This role is about much more than supervision; it’s about providing calm, consistent support and ensuring the home remains a safe, nurturing environment. You’ll help young people feel secure during the night while also carrying out essential household tasks to prepare the home for the next day.
Full-Time / Part-Time (waking night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays)
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £26,000.00 [dependent on experience/qualifications]
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing a calm, consistent, and reassuring presence overnight.
- Supporting young people with emotional needs and night-time routines.
- Responding sensitively to any disturbances or incidents.
- Completing household cleaning, laundry, and safety checks during night shifts.
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and records are maintained.
- Working closely with day staff to ensure continuity of care.

- The ability to remain calm and responsive during crises.
- Flexibility to work waking night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays).
- Experience is welcome, but not essential – training and support will be provided.
