The Works Inspector is responsible for undertaking site inspections and will report to the Senior Quality Works Inspector. They will provide assurance to both the Skanska Management and the Client that the delivery team and the supply chain are delivering the Works in accordance with the specification and the design requirements. The first line of defence will be by the delivery of on-site coaching and training to the Delivery Team to help them understand the standard required. The second line will be by carrying out inspections of the Works. The role will involve working in a specific area of the project and providing support across multiple disciplines. You''ll: Ensure that quality is given the highest priority in the delivery of the works to achieve right first time. Communicate with delivery team and sub-contractors to ensure full understanding of quality control requirements. Be proactive in preventing substandard Works being produced by coaching and providing training, where applicable, to the Delivery and the supply chain. Ensure that all quality documentation is in place and prestart checks have been carried out prior to the commencement of the work. Monitor the quality of materials via goods inwards inspections Check the works during progress and on completion, on behalf of Skanska to ensure that it has been constructed in line with the specification and relevant design.
