SEND Support Worker - School Based (Young People) Location: Morpeth / Ashington / Blyth Full-time and Part-time opportunities available Milk Education is working with a large SEND specialist provision in Nortumberland to recruit SEND Support Workers who genuinely want to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people with a range of additional needs. This role is suited to individuals who are patient, caring and passionate about supporting children to feel safe, understood and included in their learning. As a school SEND Support Worker, you will work with pupils who may be non-verbal, have physical disabilities, or require high levels of personalised support - so a calm, non-judgemental approach and strong communication skills are essential. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, offering flexibility to suit your availability. SEND Support Worker Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support for pupils aged from 4 - 19 years old with a range of PMLD Support with the delivery of Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) Encourage emotional wellbeing, communication and social development Communicate clearly and respectfully with teachers, other school staff and external professionals Support with personal care if and when required: Moving and Handling, Toileting, PEG Feeding, etc. (training provided) Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all SEND Support Worker Person Specification: ..... full job details .....
