CMI2JP(phone number removed) (UK) Material Planning - First Fit ExpeditorFor the Peterborough site we''re currently looking for 2 Material Planning - Expeditors.This is a fulltime, 6 month assignment with the possibility of extension.For the initial training period (approx. 3 weeks) candidates will be working onsite 5 days per week.After that this will become a hybrid role (3 days per week onsite)Working hours: Mo-Fri, flexible office hours.PAYE: 15.38 per hourRole Details:In this role you will be supporting the First Fit Planning team in the role of Expeditor.Main tasks include the validation of shipment plans with Suppliers, maintaining a 5-day rolling shipment plan, supporting with the inbound PO management and tracking shipments into different sites.You will also be involved in Daily / Weekly review meetings.Previous planning experience is not required but candidates with a supply chain or logistics background are preferred.Candidates will need to be highly organized, customer focused and have great attention to detail.Competencies: Materials Planning System Utilization - Uses the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans taking long-term corrective action on exception messages and other alerts based on root cause analysis; occasionally refers to adhoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc. in performing problem solving, while leveraging the materials planning system as the primary tool in day-to-day operations.
