OverviewAs a Principal Solutions Consultant, you will play a strategic role in driving the adoption and implementation of WCL’s data connectivity and messaging solutions across the London Market. You will work closely with clients, partners, and internal teams to architect and deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and data exchange capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead pre-sales engagements, providing expert guidance on WCL’s enabled suite of products.

Collaborate with sales and product teams to define and present tailored value propositions to London Market clients.

Design and deliver technical architectures focused on data connectivity, ACORD messaging, and API integrations.

Translate complex business requirements into scalable, compliant, and auditable technical solutions.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including brokers, carriers, reinsurers, and technology partners.

Support the implementation of Blueprint Two initiatives by advising on integration strategies and system modernization.

Create and review Statements of Work (SOWs), SLAs, and RFP responses.

Provide thought leadership and contribute to WCL’s strategic roadmap for London Market solutions.

Create and deliver product demos that showcase features and functions and tie them to business outcomes and solved problems.

Act as the main point of contact between sales, product management and product development.

Serve as a consultant to product management and product development for sales, prospect and partner feedback as well as understanding the short- and long-term product road map.

Support the implementation process in complex, customer deployments.

Demonstrate sales empathy and strong market awareness of conditions, challenges, competitor strategies, and positioning related to WCL’s products.

Listen to and assess prospective customers’ business requirements, translating the needs into workflows demonstrated in our products.

Communicate technical terminology in an easily understood fashion, explain how complex products work, and demonstrate features and benefits for assigned product lines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field.

8+ years’ experience in a solutions consulting or pre-sales role within the insurance or insurtech sector.

Deep understanding of London Market operations, including placement, claims, and accounting workflows.

Strong technical knowledge of data connectivity products, ACORD standards, and API-based integrations.

Experience with SaaS platforms and digital transformation initiatives.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to lead complex engagements and influence decision-making at senior levels.

Powerful storytelling with ability to share technical knowledge in a relatable manner for the audience.

Sales and service orientation with strong facilitation and relationship building skills.

Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative approaches.

Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills.
