OverviewCloud Operations Team Leader

– to manage the cloud environment, ensuring performance, availability, and security. You’ll lead a team of engineers, drive automation, enforce governance best practices, and support development teams through strong CI/CD infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategy with execution.

What you’ll do

Oversee daily cloud operations—monitoring, incident response, optimisation

Lead and plan projects using Agile methods

Implement cloud governance, security, and compliance policies

Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, AI-first approach)

Support development teams with CI/CD pipelines

Manage cloud costs and performance using monitoring tools (FinOps)

Mentor and develop cloud engineers

What you’ll bring

3+ years’ hands-on AWS experience

Strong IaC and configuration management skills (Terraform, Ansible, GitHub)

Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and cloud projects

Expertise in monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning

Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices

Experience with CI/CD workflows

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to haveSQL Server, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, IIS/Nginx, Linux, IDS/IPS, PowerShell/Bash, RDS, serverless tech (AWS Lambda, ECS), and applied AI for IaC.
