Management Accountant

Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Bond Street, London (fully in office)
Pay: -23 - -25 per hour
Duration: Temporary 3 months
Hours/Days: Monday- Friday 9am-5:30pm
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team. You will play a key role in producing accurate financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing analysis to support business decision-making. This is a hands-on role suitable for someone with strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis
- Assist with the annual budget and periodic forecasting process
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
- Analyse financial data and performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Liaise with department heads to support financial understanding and control
- Provide financial insight and support for business planning and strategic decisions
- Support external audits with relevant financial data and reports
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Key Requirements:
- Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
- Proven experience in a management accounting role (typically 3+ years)
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence using accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage, Xero)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
