Associate Mechanical Engineer
Skills and Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (MEng/BEng). Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g., CEng or IEng with a relevant institution such as CIBSE or IMechE). Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, with a solid understanding of building services engineering. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, and other building services. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services). Develop detailed mechanical design solutions in accordance with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards. Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to gather technical data for design development. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure that mechanical designs are energy-efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and designers within the team. Review and approve technical documentation, calculations, and drawings. Manage and support the preparation of project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations. Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide professional advice on mechanical design and systems.
