OverviewOur Community Locality Team/Home Treatment Team Mental Health Social Worker and AMHP position provides an exciting opportunity for experienced practitioners to demonstrate creativity to make a real difference in vulnerable people’s lives; contribute to mental health service development transformation, and to influence and shape the practice of aspiring social workers or AMHPs through Practice Education/AYSE Programs. The AMHP role encompasses work with both children and adults; the work is varied and wide-ranging. The AMHP plays a vital and essential role in safeguarding and supporting our most vulnerable residents.
ResponsibilitiesWe seek imaginative and dynamic social work practitioners motivated to make positive contributions to the transformation of mental health social care, asserting social recovery and empowerment models, working in meaningful partnerships with service users, their carers, and families. You will make full use of person-centred assessment skills, using strengths-based and enabling principles, demonstrate coordination and planning skills with a focus on prevention, recovery, wellbeing, and dignity outcomes. The AMHP has a unique role, given that its work encompasses both children and adults; consequently, the work is varied and wide-ranging. As such, the AMHP plays a vital and essential role in safeguarding and supporting our most vulnerable residents. You will work within the integrated MDT setting and benefit from professional peer support and clinical supervision.

Enfield is situated in North London and is a culturally diverse borough with its wards covering amongst the 20% most affluent and deprived in the country, whilst featuring industrial, residential, and countryside areas. Salary and BenefitsPlease note the salary quoted is based on full time hours per annum. Full time salary up to £55,672. Please note the salary quoted above is inclusive of additional increments paid once registered with Enfield to practice as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP). The Level 2/3 Social Worker starting salary without or until AMHP registered with Enfield is £41,133 - £51,138. The salary range once registered as an AMHP with Enfield is £45,750 - £53,172. In addition to this AMHP responsibilities also currently qualifies for a market factor supplement of £2,500, reviewed annually.
