We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our client based in Dunstable. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a variety of practical skills to perform maintenance and repair tasks across different facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Handy Man will be responsible for ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

They are also looking for someone who will be happy to do cleaning which involves cleaning toilets/canteen etc.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 16:30

Pay rate £12.21ph

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify issues that require attention.
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot problems effectively.
• Weld components as required for various tasks.
• Maintain an organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role with strong mechanical knowledge.
• Proficient in electrical systems maintenance and repair.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to tasks.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
