new Finance Officer
to support increasing financial operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team in a role that will directly contribute to our mission of efficient and sustainable waste management.Role Overview
This new Finance Officer position has been created to strengthen our finance team. You will support financial processing, reconciliations, and reporting, while also assisting with budgeting, audits, and office administration.Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process supplier payments, raise invoices, and manage aged debt.Reconciliations and Reporting: Prepare monthly reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and support financial reporting.Month-End and Budgeting: Assist with month-end processes, budget preparation, and variance analysis.Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations.Process Improvements: Identify areas for improvement in financial workflows and contribute to system enhancements.Stakeholder Engagement: Work with budget holders and external suppliers to maintain financial accuracy.Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a
proactive, detail-focused
finance professional who thrives in a
team-oriented
environment. You should be confident in financial administration and able to work independently to meet deadlines.Essential Skills and Experience
Strong experience in financial transactions and reconciliations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems (SAP or Agresso preferred).Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.Experience working in a finance team, preferably within a public sector or local government setting (desirable but not essential).Why Join Us?
