About Us

About Campsfield House IRCCampsfield House IRC is a secure facility currently designed to accommodate up to 160 male residents in both single and dual occupancy rooms. The centre houses a combination of time-served foreign national offenders and immigration offenders while the Home Office arranges their removal from the UK.Residents are not permitted to leave the centre or access the local area. Consequently, recreational, educational, healthcare, living, and faith-related facilities are provided entirely onsite.The healthcare department provides a range of services including primary care, mental health, substance misuse, pharmacy, dental, optometry, physiotherapy, podiatry, and audiology delivered either by us or our specialist partners.The post holder will be joining at the start of the go-live period and will provide local leadership, induct new staff, set up clinic rooms, agree systems and processes, work with the centre operator to agree protocols, support scenarios, and more.Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Lead who is passionate, innovative, and driven to deliver patient-centred, high-quality care in a secure setting. This role offers the opportunity to influence health and well-being within the secure community.Responsibilities include working in a dynamic environment, thinking on your feet, and growing professionally as part of a team that is continually evolving.Clinical DutiesProvide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.Deputise on behalf of the Head of Healthcare when required.Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high-quality clinical service for patients, ensuring autonomous practice within the role.Model a culture of compassion, assurance, respect and empowerment.Coach, line manage and develop clinicians; support and contribute to audits and governance; contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non-clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.Chair and facilitate healthcare meetings with the team and partners; provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry out investigations locally.Advance innovative ideas and strategies to enable staff to deliver care more effectively.Ensure open channels of communication with internal and external agencies to achieve a coordinated service for clients and families.Develop strong interpersonal and communication skills to handle highly sensitive situations.Develop robust communication systems allowing staff to liaise with external organisations as required.Develop a system to ensure information flow to and from relevant meetings and forums.Utilise available resources to maximize the benefit of the service, with awareness of resource implications.Ensure adherence to DrPA and Centre Operator policies and procedures.Report maintenance requirements through Centre Operator processes and ensure the building meets Health and Safety / Infection Control standards within the prison setting, including risk assessments with the Head of Healthcare.Qualifications

Professional Registration: RGN Nursing and Midwifery CouncilEvidence of continued professional development (e.g., ANP)Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of HR processes including training, recruitment, workforce planning, budget management, performance management, union negotiation and disciplinary actionKnowledge of the complexities of multi-disciplinary/multi-agency healthcare provision in a secure environmentKnowledge of clinical governance / CQC processesKnowledge of prison / secure environment healthcare managementGood interpersonal skills including diplomacy, negotiation and problem solvingExperience working with multi-cultural and diverse communitiesAbility to work to deadlines under pressureAbility to engage service users, carers and advocates in servicesAbility to deliver new services in a rapidly changing environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to influence and motivate othersAbility to build and maintain internal and external partnershipsAbility to work as part of a senior management teamAbility to manage change positively and proactivelyGood problem-solving skillsExperience in hospital, community or prison environments is desirableGeneral Information
