We are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Tunbridge Wells who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts and Tax Manager to join their team.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified (or qualified by experience) accountant looking to take ownership of a varied client portfolio within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.The RoleYou will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting and tax services, and building strong client relationships.Key responsibilities include:Managing a portfolio of clients across accounts and taxReviewing statutory accounts and tax returnsLeading client meetings and acting as a trusted advisorOverseeing workflow, delegating to junior staff and reviewing their workEnsuring compliance with HMRC and Companies House requirementsSupporting clients with year-end processes (including P11Ds and related filings)Driving efficiency and maintaining high service standardsMentoring and developing junior members of the teamThe CandidateWe are looking for someone with strong practice experience who can confidently manage both clients and workload.You will ideally have:ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experiencePrevious experience managing a portfolio within an accountancy practiceStrong knowledge of accounts and tax complianceExperience using software such as Xero and/or SageExcellent communication and client-facing skillsAbility to manage and prioritise workload ..... full job details .....
