Mobile AC and HVAC Service Engineer – Midlands – £38,000–£43,000 + Package

Location: Covering the Midlands region (Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas)

I’m currently working in partnership with a highly reputable HVAC and Mechanical specialist who have been established for over 45 years, delivering exceptional service across MOD and MOJ sites. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand their engineering team with an experienced Mobile AC and HVAC Service Engineer to cover the Midlands region.

The Role:

- Carrying out planned and reactive service, maintenance, and breakdowns on a range of commercial HVAC and Air Conditioning systems
- Working across MOD and MOJ contracts, primarily covering the Midlands (Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, and surrounding areas)
- Occasional travel to additional sites across the wider region as needed
- Engaging with CAFM systems and providing accurate, up-to-date job reporting
- Participating in a call-out rota (approx. 1 in 6 weeks)

Requirements:

- Fully conversant with the service and maintenance of commercial AC and HVAC systems
- Must hold valid F-Gas certification
- NVQ or City and Guilds in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
- Additional electrical qualifications are advantageous
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostics skills
- Experience using tablet-based CAFM systems
- Clean DBS and Enhanced checks – must be comfortable working in secure environments (e.g., prisons)

Salary and Package:

- £38,000 – £43,000 basic salary
- Company van and fuel card (private use allowed)
