As a Senior Staff Nurse on our Paediatric Intensive Care unit you''ll take responsibility for the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge nurse while developing, implementing and evaluating holistic care plans for children in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team. We''ll look to you to act as a role model and mentor to our junior/student nurses while using those same interpersonal skills to develop long standing relationships with children and their families. NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life supportPost Graduate experience working in a PICU settingCompletion of a PICU Course that is equivalent to 60 creditsUnderstanding of Safeguarding issuesTeaching and mentoring experience desirableExcellent clinical governance and experience with auditsExperience of supervising and assessing students and shift leading is desirableDisclosure and Barring Service Check
