• Salary: £41,000, rising to £47,000
• Permanent staff position
• Continental shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off)
• 35 days holiday

An experienced Automation Technician with knowledge of industrial instrumentation & PLC systems is wanted to join a leading manufacturing company in Hartlepool.

 Your primary duties will be to maintain and improve control & automation systems across an industrial  manufacturing operation.

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Identifying and fixing problems in PLC, SCADA, and industrial control systems
• Servicing and calibrating instrumentation, control loops, and variable speed drives.
• Supporting automation equipment upgrades and commissioning processes.
• Guaranteeing compliance with safety, quality, and operational efficiency standards.
• Working with engineers and operators to improve performance and reliability.

What You’ll Bring to the Team 

• HNC/HND in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens / Allen Bradley).
• Knowledge of SCADA, HMI, Profibus, and Profinet networks.
• A background in an industrial manufacturing/engineering environment
