We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Assembly Technician to join a specialist manufacturing company based near Melksham, Wiltshire.This role involves a mixture of Mechanical and Electrical assembly work, contributing to the build and conversion of bespoke commercial vehicle bodies.Assembly Technician Job OverviewMechanical Assembly DutiesInstall insulated panels into vehicle bodies with precision and attention to sealing quality.Cut and shape materials (metal, plastic, wood) using hand and bench tools.Apply silicone and gel sealants to floors, walls, and roofs.Assemble mechanical components such as trims, flooring, and brackets. Electrical Assembly DutiesWire and terminate lighting, switches, and tail lift systems (low-voltage).Read and work from basic electrical diagrams and wiring schematics.Use electrical tools safely to carry out installations and checks. General Workshop ResponsibilitiesWork from engineering drawings and works orders to meet build specifications.Maintain a tidy and safe working area in line with health and safety expectations.Support other shop floor or ad hoc tasks as required by the production team.Assembly Technician Job RequirementsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical work instructions.Confident using hand tools, bench saws, drills, and measuring equipment.Experience working safely with both mechanical and electrical assemblies.Strong understanding of health and safety protocols in a workshop or manufacturing ..... full job details .....
