OverviewVacancy: HVAC Sales Engineer (Modernisation)

About The RoleAs a Sales Engineer for Modernisations Services, you will be responsible for pursuing large opportunities that help our customers modernise their HVAC solutions. You will be ideally based in the London area. This is a technical and consultative Sales role where you will seek to understand the customers’ needs and design the best solutions to meet them.
Responsibilities
Proactively identifies and prospects for modernisation projects to include identifying bid opportunities, preparing bid responses, creating presentations, and negotiating contracts with potential customers
Providing scope definition and systems development direction for outside vendors and suppliers, mechanical and electrical subcontractors including scope, terms and conditions, bid forms, and contract reviews.
Assist in identifying specification issues or interpretation discrepancies and providing solutions to resolve.
Performs site-surveys in existing buildings to inspect overall operation of control systems and unique job considerations for construction.
Managing a pipeline of sales opportunities through qualification, proposal, quote management, and booking of the work to achieve orders and gross margin targets
Providing accurate forecasting of orders on a monthly and quarterly basis
Grow an assigned territory or group of accounts with the sale of Carrier''s modernization offerings, and teaming with other salespeople responsible for Service Agreements, Repair, and Controls to deliver top tier value for our customers.
Develop long term relationships and partnerships with customers via consultative sales methods

Requirements
Experience in mechanical HVAC sales
Control System building design experience
Good knowledge of the Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) industry
Ability to work in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment
Experience of Commissioning, fault finding and servicing on site Control Systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
Self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities
Outstanding sales/negotiation skills and goal-orientated with strong time management and organizational skills
