Supply Desk is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a fantastic school in Chesham. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners, all while working in a supportive and progressive educational setting.
About the Role:
- Deliver engaging, student-focused lessons in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Build student confidence to help them reach academic and personal goals.
- Use creative methods and technology to make learning enjoyable.
- Regularly assess progress and provide personalised feedback.
- Support students needing extra help in a nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school activities.
The ideal candidate will:
- Qualified Teachers with QTS and a degree in English, Education, or related fields preferred. ECTs and passionate unqualified candidates are welcome.
- Experience in secondary teaching, ideally covering both Literature and Language.
- Strong communication skills to engage students and work well with colleagues.
- Enthusiasm for diverse classrooms and adapting to different learning styles.
- Effective classroom management to maintain a positive, inclusive environment.
- Knowledge of the secondary English curriculum (GCSE, A-Level or equivalent) with the ability to tailor lessons.
