Registered Nurse - Ward 8 - General SurgeryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join our general surgical ward 8 within the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in both part and full time hours. The successful candidate will have an interest in the management and care of surgical patients with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Main duties of the job
Staff will be required to be well organised with good time management skills and the ability to work as part of a team or on their own initiative, maintaining high standards and an interest in general surgery. There will be opportunities for internal development through the Health Board’s dedicated training and development department offering a wide range of in-house courses. We also have close links with the University of Glamorgan to support ongoing professional development, which you will be required to demonstrate as part of revalidation.Welsh Skills Desirable:
This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. While Welsh skills are not essential, they are an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This is not fluency—just Speaking and Listening at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.About us
