Director for Learning – SLT

We are seeking a

Director of Learning

to be part of a team tasked with implementing curriculum changes to improve school outcomes. The school has a recent Ofsted rating of ''Good,'' with excellent leadership and opportunities for further development within a small Multi-Academy Trust (MAT).

Candidate Requirements:

QTS in English, Maths, or Science with a proven track record of teaching and learning progress.

Experience working as part of an effective Senior Leadership Team (SLT), with a hands-on approach.

Ability to work with and interpret data to support academic progress at GCSE level.

Leadership skills capable of raising expectations and standards across the curriculum for staff and students.

Proven success in improving GCSE results in core subjects.

Subject specialist with experience leading teams in English, Maths, or Science, including supporting Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Experience using evidence-based strategies to identify and address attainment gaps through data analysis.

Ability to compare local schools using data, demographics, and understanding of community needs.

Role Details:

The school is interested in meeting candidates who can demonstrate evidence of progress.

The SLT member will be actively involved across the curriculum, including classroom engagement with staff and students to assess progress.

Position can be offered on an interim or permanent basis.

Salary will be in line with scale up to L20.
