Senior Civil Engineering Technician

We’re working with a top-tier consultancy looking to bring a Senior Civil Engineering Technician into their growing Cardiff team.

What you’ll be doing:

- Producing and managing 2D and 3D design models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ideally InfoDrainage
- Preparing levels, earthworks, highways, drainage, and SuDS layouts
- Creating technical submission packages for S278, S38, S104, S185, and SAB approvals
- Coordinating with engineers, contractors, and external stakeholders to resolve site constraints and technical queries
- Managing project documentation and common data environments
- Mentoring junior technicians and guiding CAD delivery

What we’re looking for:

- Strong understanding of infrastructure construction and detailing
- Hands-on experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD (InfoDrainage a bonus)
- Familiar with the full design process: work stages, deliverables, approvals, and handovers
- Comfortable leading on drawing packages, coordination, and problem-solving
- Able to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in highway and drainage design projects, across sectors
