Supervised Contact Worker Location: Solihull Council

We are looking to recruit a Supervised Contact Worker on behalf of Solihull Council, to work with families and children in a part-time capacity. This is a vital and sensitive role supporting vulnerable children and their families during supervised contact sessions.

? Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise contact between children and family members (usually parents), ensuring the safety and welfare of the child is prioritised.
  
  
• Promote a positive contact experience while observing and reporting on family interactions.
  
  
• Prepare detailed and factual written observations of each session to be used in care planning or court proceedings.
  
  
• Liaise with social workers and other professionals to support ongoing assessments and casework.
  
  
• Prepare contact rooms before and after sessions and maintain a calm, welcoming environment for children.
  
  
• Adhere to safeguarding procedures at all times.
  
  

? Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children and families, ideally in a contact, support, or safeguarding environment.
  
  
• Excellent observation, recording, and communication skills.
  
  
• A strong understanding of professional boundaries and child protection.
  
  
• Calm under pressure, with the ability to manage emotional or difficult situations sensitively.
  
  
• A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable or willingness to apply.
