Job Role: Field Service Engineer
Location: Leicestershire + UK & Worldwide Travel

Shift: Monday - Friday
Salary: up to -50k (DOE)

The Role:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automation equipment and systems at customer sites.

You will be the face of the business in the field, delivering excellent customer service while ensuring their solutions operate at peak efficiency.

Job Role Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, and support the company''s systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine service checks.
• Provide remote and onsite technical support to clients.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to relay field data and support system improvements.
• Complete service reports, maintain documentation, and ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Train end-users and client technicians on equipment use and maintenance.
• Travel throughout the UK & overseas as required.
• Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.

The Candidate:

• Strong understanding of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Experience in fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of automation equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
