The Role

The Warehouse Operations Manager will play a critical role in leading all activity across the operation within their field, whilst working closely with the site General Manager., based at their flagship site in Bedford.

This position is a truly exciting opportunity, with lots of autonomy for an experienced logistics & supply chain professional to be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding organisation.

Core Aspects of the Warehouse Operations Manager role:

• End-to-End Supply Chain Management - Oversee the full supply chain process, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory control, and demand planning to meet business needs.
• Manage a team of circa x100 indirect and x8 driect reports.
• Optimise Logistics Operations - Manage warehouse, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Supplier & Vendor Relationships - Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and key stakeholders to drive performance and cost efficiency''s.
• Inventory & Stock Control - Ensure accurate stock levels, reduce waste, and improve inventory forecasting to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Customer Order Fulfilment - Oversee sales order processing, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Data-Driven Performance Management - Monitor and analyse supply chain KPIs, such as lead times, cost per unit, and supplier performance, to drive continuous improvement.
• Warehouse & Facility Oversight - Manage warehouse operations, ensuring optimal layout, stock movement, and safety compliance.
• Process Improvement & Cost Reduction - Identify opportunities to streamline processes, negotiate better supplier terms, and reduce operational costs without compromising service quality.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with production, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
• Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, and industry regulations, mitigating risks across the supply chain.

The Candidate

The successful candidate for the Warehouse Operations Manager role will have the following skills & experiences:

• A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background - Essential.
• Managed over x100 indirect reports and over x8 direct.
• 5+ Years proven Logistics & Supply Chain Supervisory or Management experience across Operations - Essential.
• 3PL Warehouse experience - Essential.
• Previous budgetary / P&L responsibility - Advantageous.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams - Essential.
• An individual truly excited by large scale growth challenges - Essential.
• Commutable to the Bedford area 5 days per week - Essential.

Salary & Benefits Package

• Salary - -45,000 to -50,000.
• 25 Days + 8 Bank Holidays.
