Philly’s Best Steak Company Inc. is a leading Philadelphia area meat processing facility specializing in the manufacturing of Philly style steak products. We pride ourselves as being family owned, providing our employees with a safe, friendly, and collaborative work environment.The Plant Manager is accountable for driving the safety, quality, productivity, and financial objectives of Philly’s Best Steak. The Plant Manager is responsible for supporting operations by working closely with plant leadership and employees to guarantee compliance with the Production Schedule and planning process, Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, compliance with USDA standards, and Philly’s Best Steak’s specifications, policies, and procedures. This position will require collaboration with the Supply Chain, FSQA, Production, Maintenance, and Shipping and Receiving departments. This position will require a high level of visibility on the production floor and throughout the plant as well as solid leadership and management experience.Reports to:

$120,000 - $150,000Schedule:
6:00 am – 4:00 pm, schedule to be determinedOccasionally, additional hours may be required to complete tasks and/or projectsResponsibilities
Contributes to the strategic direction of the Philly’s Best Operations teamEvaluates staffing and training needs proactivelyDemonstrates leadership through participation in core leadership processes such as development of division and manufacturing facility operating, capital and expense budgets, employee onboarding, and workforce planning and developmentFosters collaboration among various finance and operations-focused departmentsAssists the Director of Operations with the creation, maintenance and training for all business processes and SOPsAssists with creating and implementing strategies to reduce costs, mitigate risk, improve quality and capacity, increase output, and reduce inventoryUtilizes various tools like ERP, MRP, CRM, Power BI, and other software as neededReports regularly on operational effectiveness performance and departmental KPIsAssists with optimizing operation costs, ensuring safety and financial performance, and achieving quality standards as set by the companyChampions a safety culture across the organizationDrives our company culture of respectful communication, transparency, and collaboration across all operationsAll other duties as assignedQualifications
Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college/university in engineering, industrial manufacturing, business, or related field6-8 years’ experience in a manufacturing role requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP, or other pertinent softwareDemonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills requiredStrong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsStrong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and lean tools requiredLean six sigma certificationPrevious experience in leading and building a team is requiredMust be able to assist with writing reports, policies, SOPs, processes, training programs, and manualsDemonstrated project management skillsWorking knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metricsExperience in food manufacturingExperience with ERP systems requiredExperience with SQF codes isAbility to stand, walk, climb stairs, and withstand cold temperatures for a full shift
