Sewell Wallis is extremely excited to be working with a leading Sheffield-based business as they look to appoint a purchase ledger assistant on a 9-month FTC.The right candidate will have a brilliant attitude as well as some experience in processing invoices.There is the option for this role to be based at home 5 days per week; however, if you wanted to go to the office a few days, then that would be available to you.What will you be doing?Enter invoices into the Purchase Ledger timely and accuratelyResolve all supplier queries in a timely mannerManage supplier payments, including loading of payments onto the bank BACS/online facilityReconcile supplier accountsProvide updates on any supplier issues arising which may cause problemsEnter into the accounting system, manage and pay employee expense claimsProcessing company credit card claims on the accounting systemAny other ad-hoc duties as requiredReconciliation of main bank accountsAccurately recording and reconciling bank transactions to the accounting systemCooperating with external auditors at times of interim and final auditWhat skills are we looking for?Previous experience gained in an accounting or finance department environment.Experienced user of Microsoft ExcelExperienced user of core accounting packages (Sage X3 preferred)Analytical and numerical abilityAble to analyse, evaluate, interpret and present dataAble to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, with can do attitudeAdaptable and flexible to new tasks and ..... full job details .....
