Senior/Principal Design Engineer required to be based at our client''s London office. The company is a well-established leader in the HVAC sector, operating from six regional offices across the UK and experiencing consistent growth over the past 20 years. They provide a full turnkey service, covering design, installation, servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of a wide range of HVAC systems.

In this role, the Senior/Principal Design Engineer will take ownership of design packages and manage relationships with an established portfolio of blue-chip clients. They will oversee technical delivery, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and play a key role in the development of costed proposals and securing new project opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of HVAC systems (heating, cooling, ventilation & controls)
• Prepare detailed schematics, drawings, and specifications
• Manage energy audits, reporting and ROI analysis
• Compile and present costed design proposals to clients with commercial confidence
• Conduct site surveys, commissioning support, and design reviews
• Mentor graduate engineers, junior and intermediate design engineers in the team

Senior/Principal HVAC Design Engineer - Job Requirements

• 5-8 years'' building services/HVAC design experience.
• Proven record of delivering projects independently
• Strong knowledge of controls, AHUs, VRF/VRV, and heating chilled water systems
• Experienced in cost and design proposal writing and client engagement
• Energy auditing and carbon reduction experience
