gap construction are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established Tier 1 contractor specialising in high-quality interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, and leisure sectors. Based in Ipswich, this is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to develop their career with one of the leading names in the interiors space.

The Role:

You''ll work closely with the commercial team to support the delivery of fit-out projects valued between -3m and -20m. This position offers excellent exposure to fast-paced, technically interesting schemes with the backing of a supportive and experienced team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing valuations, cost reports, and subcontractor packages
• Support with contract administration and change management
• Help track project costs and ensure accurate forecasting
• Liaise with site teams, clients, and subcontractors to support commercial delivery
• Ensure commercial processes are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle

About You:

• HND or degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related field
• 1-3 years of experience in a commercial role (ideally within interiors or fit-out)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Confident communicator with a proactive approach
• Eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced, professional environment
