We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in baking and pastry production, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail in their work. This role involves preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods while adhering to the highest standards of food safety and quality.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and breads according to established recipes.Producing and preparing ice creams, frozen parfaits, sorbets, frozen custards, and other frozen desserts.Contributes to the creation of new and seasonal frozen dessert options for the menu, often collaborating with the head chef or other kitchen staff.Decorates frozen desserts and pastries with various toppings, sauces, and garnishes to make them visually appealing.Ensure all food production meets quality standards for taste, presentation, and freshness.Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, following all health and safety regulations.Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.SkillsProven experience in food production and preparation within a professional kitchen environment.Strong culinary skills with a focus on baking techniques and pastry creation.Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both presentation and execution.Previous experience is advantageous, particularly in a pastry role.A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
