Our client, is currently seeking a Bridge Inspector to join their team on a contract or permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in assessing the condition of various assets and supporting the identification and prioritisation of maintenance and repair works.Key Responsibilities:Conducting general and principal inspections of bridges and other structuresUndertaking special inspections and surveying accident damage to structuresDelivering a programme of over 500 general inspections and around 100 principal inspections each yearDocumenting and reporting on the condition of bridges and recommending maintenance needsCollaborating with local team members to ensure safe and high-standard working practicesCommunicating effectively with stakeholders and colleagues to convey inspection findings and action plansJob Requirements:Experience in bridge inspection and an understanding of bridge design principlesFamiliarity with bridge inspection processes and Bridge Condition IndicatorsA mature and self-aware approach to achieving high standards and ensuring safetyStrong communication skills with the ability to keep stakeholders and colleagues informedA passion and aptitude for bridge inspectionAn HNC, HND in civil/structural engineering, or equivalent demonstrable experienceIf you have a passion for bridge inspection and meet the outlined requirements, we would love to hear from you.
