Capital Works Surveyor Location: Monks Walk, Chicksands, Shefford, SG17 5TQ Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 6+ Months Working Hours: Mon Fri, 09 00, 37 Hours per week Pay Rate: £ 48.09 per hour Job Ref: OR15086 Job Responsibilities Deliver planned improvements and major repairs for housing stock. Support capital investment and major repairs programs. Ensure homes meet the Decent Homes Standard. Manage contracts and ensure quality assurance for improvement programs. Conduct site inspections and define work scopes. Focus on customer needs and ensure excellent communication. Report to Housing Property Team Leaders. Person Specifications Must Have Degree or HND in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. Extensive relevant experience in Housing/Property and contract delivery. Knowledge of Social Housing Standards and Decent Homes Standard. Understanding of Health and Safety regulations. Nice to Have Experience with CDM regulations. Commercial awareness for achieving value for money in contract management.
