HGV Class 1 Driver
Location: Newton Aycliffe
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights available)

Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a leading logistics provider in their search for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their operation based in Newton Aycliffe.

About the Role
As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for completing trunking runs and store deliveries, ensuring all goods are transported safely and efficiently. The role will involve cage work and the use of a pallet truck, so a good level of physical fitness and practical handling experience is required.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service, ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in line with all relevant transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing trunk runs, including collections and deliveries
• Transporting loaded trailers and returning vehicles as required
• Carrying out store deliveries using cages and pallet trucks
• Ensuring loads are secure and compliant with safety standards
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Adhering to Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Representing the business in a professional manner at all times

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR or IN10 endorsements)
• Good understanding of driver hours and transport legislation
• Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
