Learning Support Assistant - Tonbridge, Kent

This well organised secondary school in the Tonbridge, Kent area is seeking several learning support assistants / teaching assistants to start working ASAP until the end of the academic year on a temporary basis. There will be a review of EHCP numbers for the following year and the school will advertise for permanent positions.

The school are looking for motivated and proactive LSAs/TAs to work alongside students that have Special Educational Needs (SEN); ASD (autism spectrum disorder), as well as those that require assistance with reading and writing. You will be working either 1:1 with pupils or in small groups, alongside other TAs/LSAs.

The school is conveniently located in Tonbridge and is easily accessible by bus and train from surrounding areas such as Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Edenbridge and Maidstone. There is also a large car park onsite.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have experience;

• Supporting pupils one-to-one or in small groups, fostering learning and independence.
• Assisting with classroom management and create a calm, supportive environment.
• Preparing tailored resources and support communication and social skills development.
• Building meaningful relationships with students, staff and communicating with families if required.
