On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet''s vital power needs we are looking for a Masker for a 12 months contract based in Derby. Please note that this position is going to be on a three shift rotating pattern (mornings, afternoons and nights).

Purpose of the role:

Working within a small team across three shifts you will be required to carry out masking of shafts for both abrasive blasting and painting.

What you''ll do:

• Interpreting and working in accordance with technical instructions, Manufacturing Data Templates (MDT), and finalised engineering drawings.
• Identifying all areas that require masking prior to surface preparation and coating.
• Determining appropriate masking methods-manual or mechanical-based on specification and component requirements.
• Preparing components to ensure blasters and paint sprayers can perform their tasks efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Required skills/experience:

• Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and regulations, maintaining a safe clean and tidy work area.
• Interpret Manufacturing drawings, technical instructions and written specifications.
• Deliver right first time quality for each operation
• Work within an integrated team to achieve cell objectives.
• Quality check own work and complete relevant documentation accurately.
• Previous experience would be beneficial although full training is available for the successful candidate.
