Overview

Location: Derby SitesReports to: Operations ManagerRole Purpose: Responsible for the safe execution of a portfolio of concurrent projects for various Rolls Royce sites. The Lead Project Manager will ensure that projects are delivered to meet Integral and Rolls Royce standards regarding health, safety, quality, cost and programme, while complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation. This includes compliance with MS18 and CSO6 Rolls Royce standards.Responsibilities

Lead a portfolio of projects with potential values between £50k and £15m across Rolls Royce sites in Derby.Provide health and safety leadership to site delivery teams (including sub-contractors and suppliers), promote behavioural safety improvements, and ensure mandatory reporting of KPIs, Good Catches/Near Misses (GC/NM), accidents and incidents in line with procedures. Conduct safety audits and report to management.Act as the primary point of contact for Project Managers, ensuring they have the correct level of construction information, labour, material provision, sub-contract resources, and support to deliver projects to the highest standard.Set and monitor objectives for direct reports; mentor and coach and, where required, deliver performance management in line with company procedures.Support the project risk management process and establish effective controls to ensure safe and timely delivery of projects.Contribute to quotations and estimates, and promote/maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance the company’s reputation at project level.Ensure accurate records of works completed and expenditure are kept and updated by the Project Management team; monitor and approve timesheets and expenses for area team.Identify, build, lead and develop new project teams for new workstreams; liaise with Project Managers to agree suitable resource levels.Work closely with the Senior Design Manager to ensure robust, workable, economic and constructible designs are produced.Support project opportunities to realise, maintain and improve commercial project performance.Liaise with Rolls Royce Project Managers to ensure projects are managed in compliance with MS18, CS06 and the current delivery programme and cost plan; seek ongoing feedback to ensure high quality standards are maintained.Lead your team to deliver the company’s management expectations across key areas of the project, supporting individuals and teams to meet and exceed targets.Enhance contract delivery quality to ensure highest standards of quality in accordance with programme delivery and relevant standards.Ensure projects are completed snag and defect free and that post-completion deliverables (final accounts and Operation and Maintenance information) are delivered within contracted timescales.What we will need from you

Proven and demonstrable experience in the role of a Senior Project Manager (essential) and ideally Lead Project Manager.Experience of working in occupied buildings/campuses (highly desirable).Experience in managing health and safety procedures with knowledge of HandS standards/regulations across multiple sites (essential).Experience in the preparation of quotations and estimates (essential).Ability to develop a good understanding of the customer’s business requirements (essential).City and Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent) construction related qualification (essential).SSSTS/SMSTS, JIB/BESA, CSCS Card, First Aid (essential).Competent user of IT software packages including MS Office, Fieldview or similar tablet-based quality assurance software (essential).Understanding of programming techniques and ability to write short-term programmes. Experience of Asta / Microsoft Projects / Primavera programming software (desirable).Excellent interpersonal skills with clear and confident written and verbal communication (essential).High level organisational ability and time management to drive and meet deadlines (essential).Self-motivated with a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.Able to demonstrate initiative and problem solve (essential).Commitment to providing a high-quality service demonstrating reliability, conscientiousness and flexibility (essential).Adept at working in a team and providing leadership/support to fellow team members (essential).What you can expect from us
