OverviewWe are currently recruiting to our Trust’s Temporary Staffing Team - Bank on Us and we are seeking Registered Nurses with a valid NMC registration that have a minimum of twelve months post graduate experience within an acute hospital setting in the UK. You must work well in a team and be reliable and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills, as well as adaptable and flexible to changing situations, working within Trust policies and the NMC Code of Conduct.

Locations and areas

The Trust covers different hospital sites, the main site being St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey and also includes Ashford Hospital and Woking Community Hospital.

Bank shifts are available in a variety of areas:

Urgent and Emergency care, including the Emergency Department

Inpatient medical, surgical, orthopaedic and care of the elderly wards

Intensive Care Unit with a combination of Intensive care beds and HDU beds

Women’s Health and Paediatrics

Pay, induction and benefits

Bank on Us Hourly Pay Rates – depending on experience, rate includes high-cost area payment and WTD payment

Roles and responsibilities

Undertaking shifts as a Bank Registered Nurse on a temporary basis in a ward/department within the hospital setting.

Working effectively and efficiently and in collaboration with the multi professional teams to deliver high quality and individualised patient care.

Be responsible to the nurse in charge or, where appropriate, act as shift leader, delivering direct patient care as assigned and supporting junior colleagues.

The role is varied, challenging and rewarding, including supporting patients in rehabilitation and recovery following an operation or acute illness, or providing holistic and compassionate care for patients at the end of life.

Carry out assigned tasks involved with direct patient care while maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients, demonstrating care, compassion and communication, and following patient admission/transfer/discharge processes and medication administration, care planning and evaluation, wound management.
