The successful candidate will provide high-quality, family-centred care to infants, children, and young people presenting with acute and emergency conditions. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that the child s physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met at all times. Main Duties and Responsibilities Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care to children and young people attending AandE. Perform triage assessments, recognising and prioritising patients according to clinical need. Assist in stabilisation and resuscitation of critically ill or injured children alongside the emergency team. Administer medications and treatments in line with Trust policies and NMC standards. Support and communicate effectively with families and carers, providing reassurance and information. Work collaboratively with doctors, advanced nurse practitioners, play specialists, and other allied health professionals. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the child s health records.
