QualificationsEssential
Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
CCT or equivalent
Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
Job DescriptionMain duties of the job
Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adult people with mental health needs, across northern Havering
Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases
Provide guidance and supervision to the team
Work directly with adults and their families and liaise with external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals
Participate in the on-call rota (frequency 1:50) with a 3% basic salary on-call supplement
Support peers and team leader, and be an effective team member while enabling others to work with their own initiative
Work alongside 1wte consultants, 1wte Specialty Doctor, and 1wte trainee doctor within the service
Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies

We are currently recruiting to an Adult Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Havering Mental Wellness Team North (MHWT-N), based at Petersfield Centre, Harold Hill, Romford, RM3 9PB. This is a new, substantive, full-time role - 10 PAs. You will join a small team and have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and service design in the area.
