Quantity Surveyor - Rail and Civil Engineering - North West - Freelance Contract Quantity Surveyors currently required to join a Tier One main contractor, overseeing the delivery of a number of rail and civil engineering projects across the North West. The role will involve assisting the commercial management team with subcontract management and administration across a large number of projects, and would suit someone with experience within this area. The role: Management of key accountsEnsuring all contract administration is undertaken in a timely mannerManagement of subcontract accounts, issuing application payments and notifications of any issuesProducing take-offs and bills of quantities where requiredProviding commercial updates to the senior commercial teamEnsuring key accounts are upto date and liaising with supply chain partners where requiredConducting valuations, production of final accounts, commercial reports and managing change controlWorking closely with the operational team to ensure commercial success of the projects The candidate: Degree Qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related subjectMust have an excellent understanding of NEC form of contractExperience of delivering a number of railway infrastructure projectsAble to work on a variety of projects, sometimes complex, whilst ensuring an appropriate reporting including early warnings Package: Competitive day rate (or permanent salary if preferred) DOECareer developmentContinuous work bank with ..... full job details .....
