Electrical Design Manager Data Centre Refurbishment Hybrid (London, Milton Keynes, or Chester) A specialist data centre developer delivering refurbishment and upgrade schemes across the UK and Europe is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead and coordinate design delivery across multiple live and planned data centre sites. This is a hybrid role with time split between remote working and office presence (London, Milton Keynes, or Chester), and may involve occasional site visits. The successful candidate must bring deep technical understanding of electrical infrastructure in live or legacy data centre environments. Key Responsibilities: Lead the electrical design coordination for refurbishment and upgrade works across Tier II IV data centre sites. Work closely with internal project teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver integrated and buildable design solutions. Review and manage the production of technical documentation, specifications, and drawings to align with project scope and phased delivery plans. Oversee compliance with relevant regulations, design standards, and Uptime Institute best practices. Coordinate early-stage surveys and develop upgrade strategies for existing systems including LV distribution, UPS, standby generation, and containment. Participate in design risk workshops, value engineering exercises, and constructability reviews.
