Principal Electronics EngineerWe are seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer to provide technical leadership within a team of around 15 engineers. The role involves leading electronics design, supporting RandD development, mentoring engineers and contributing to key engineering projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead electronics design and set engineering best practiceProvide technical leadership across multidisciplinary projectsContribute to RandD and technology developmentIdentify technical risks and oversee critical design activitiesSupport bids, proposals and new business opportunitiesMentor and support junior engineersTechnical FocusCircuit design, electronic components and PCB technologyEMC, power management, servo control, processor interfacing and communicationsPower and signal transmission, system architecture and wiringFault finding at PCB and system levelRequirementsDegree in a relevant engineering discipline (IET accredited)Typically 10+ years'' experience in electronics engineeringStrong experience in electronic design and analysis (e.g. circuit simulation, power budgeting)Experience leading projects or supervising engineersStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsDesirableChartered Engineer statusEMC design to military standardsExperience with Altium or Cadence OrCADKnowledge of motors, drives or control systemsFamiliarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence or MS ProjectPersonal AttributesStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsOrganised, ..... full job details .....
