The role involves working with sensitive and potentially traumatic subject matter and occasional travel to attend meetings will be required.As Head of Witness Service Learning and Development, you will:Lead the design and delivery of a comprehensive LandD strategy aligned with our values and culture.Champion trauma-informed, safeguarding-focused, and accessible learning across the service.Oversee and support onboarding induction and development for staff and volunteers, ensuring swift and effective deployment.Inspire and manage a dispersed LandD team, fostering high performance and innovation.Drive continuous improvement through data, evaluation, and quality assurance.Manage external learning providers and ensure value for money.Embed a learning culture across the Witness Service and contribute to broader people strategies.Develop an external learning arm to generate income and promote the Witness Service.Key Deliverables

Delivery of impactful learning projects and plansYear-on-year improvement in workforce competence and service qualityImplementation of a national LandD strategyCreation of income-generating external learning programmesYou Will Need

Proven experience as an LandD Manager or equivalentExpertise in designing and delivering diverse learning interventionsStrong leadership and stakeholder management skillsBudget management and financial accountabilityKnowledge of adult learning, funding landscapes, and regulatory frameworksEmotional intelligence, empathy, and the ability to influence and inspireQualifications- Degree-level education or relevant equivalent experience; learning and development qualification such as CIPD and evidence of continual professional developmentAbout Us
