This opportunity is a rare opportunity for a data analyst to come into a successful law firm and be the person responsible for setting up a modern data function.It will be a fantastic career step for an ambitious data analyst with a few years of commercial experience, an inquisitive mind, and a good way of dealing with people.As you will become the sole Data SME within the organisation, this role will be high responsibility and autonomy – with associated opportunities for career growth and progression.Unlocking the value of the Firm’s financial, operational and client data by turning it into clear actionable insights – identifying trends, anomalies, and potential opportunities.Extraction of validated data from our company systems whilst maintaining data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all platforms.Design and deliver dashboards, reports and KPIs using tools such as SSMS, SSRS, Power BI.Generating regular reports for leadership.Interpret data and communicate technical findings in clear language for stakeholders.Support data governance initiatives for ensuring data quality, auditing purposes, and complying with GDPR regulations.The Skillset / Experience
Ideally this candidate will have 2-5 years of commercial experience in data analysis or related roles.Must have strong hands-on SQL skills (ideally also SSMS and SSRS familiarity).Must be strong with Excel (pivot tables, Power Query).PowerBI experience is key.Experience with financial or legal data handling, or with legal software like practice / case management software is highly advantageous (but not required).Clear and confident communicator to explain technical matters to non-technical colleagues.Trustworthy character and discretion to work with highly sensitive personal data.Please apply with CV to be considered.
