Management Accountant
Role Overview and Purpose The Management Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Management Accounts Manager to oversee the general ledger and support decision-making by providing financial insights and analysis whilst ensuring internal controls are consistently followed.Mentor members of the team to ensure personal development and adherence to company policies and procedures.Key Stakeholders Management Accounts ManagerGroup Financial ControllerDirector of FinanceMany teams across Group SupportKey Responsibilities Mentor the Management Accounts teamProduce accurate, timely and reliable management accounts in accordance with strict deadlinesAnalyse variances between actual and budgeted resultsPresent monthly findings to senior managementMaintain specific balance sheet reconciliationsSupport with the upkeep of the fixed asset registerIdentify risks and opportunities (including cost savings, improved profitability)Support with the preparation of the annual budgetSupport with the preparation of the quarterly VAT returnsSupport other departments with PandL queries or procurement activitiesEnsure finance policies and controls are maintained and improved if necessaryExpected to keep up to date with accounting standardsOn-going maintenance of the key financial system (primarily Sun, Coupa and SIS)Completion of various Office of National Statistics formsAd hoc project workSkills, Experience and Qualifications required Good analytical skills and ability to manage large ..... full job details .....
