Town Planner/Senior Heritage Planner role at
WSP in the UK and Ireland . This opportunity is within a large, multidisciplinary planning team delivering heritage advice across a range of projects.What you will do
Devising heritage and conservation strategies, advising alongside other planning and development colleagues.Preparing briefing notes that set out the likelihood of achieving listed building consent and planning permission for development proposals.Drafting statements of significance and heritage impact assessments in a clear and persuasive way to support development proposals.Attending site visits, design team and client meetings.Managing project delivery and budgetary control.Working collaboratively with colleagues from across WSP, for example in the Sustainability Teams, to ensure their advice is factored into the combined advice provided to clients by WSP.Liaising with clients and teams to respond to consultation feedback.What we will be looking for you to demonstrate
Ideally IHBC and/or RPTI accreditation.Degree level qualification in town planning (or equivalent).Strong technical skills.A commercial approach to heritage consultancy and development.A desire to work in a growing planning team, surrounded and supported by fellow professionals.Strong organisational and communication skills.Strong analytical skills.Drive and determination.About the role and company
